New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers took part in the Phoenix Open (part of the PGA Tour) this weekend and caught up with reporter Kira Dixon to talk a little bit about football.
In a brief, two-minute interview, Rodgers was asked about his Super Bowl LIX prediction, and the four-time league MVP picked the Kansas City Chiefs to win and complete their three-peat.
“Well the Chiefs have obviously been on a roll the last few years. It seems like it could be Philly’s year, there’s always that momentum that plays into it,” Rodgers said via Golf Today. “There was like, they had the right amount of turmoil midseason where they start questioning (head coach Nick) Siranni and Jalen (Hurts) and the passing game. Saquon’s been the best player – non-quarterback – in the league all season so I think it’s going to be a great game.”
“It’s going to come down to the fourth quarter where the Chiefs have won like seven or eight games in the fourth quarter this year so it’d be tough to bet against them,” he added.
Aaron Rodgers remains tight-lipped on his future with the New York Jets
After asking about Aaron Rodgers’ Super Bowl LIX pick, Kira Dixon also asked about Rodgers’ NFL future, and the 41-year-old quarterback gave a terse response.
“I’m just enjoying my time right now. I’ve talked with the Jets. We figure things out. We figure them out,” Rodgers said.
Rodgers will probably wait until the end of Super Bowl LIX to announce his huge decision, although it is widely believed that he won’t continue with the New York Jets in 2025.
