A pair of former Wisconsin Badgers linebackers will be on opposite sidelines as the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs face off in the Super Bowl this Sunday. One of them will become the 18th former Badger to pay in and win the Super Bowl.
Edwards or Chenal will win a Super Bowl this year
T.J. Edwards of the Eagles and Leo Chenal of the Chiefs are the two former Badgers who will see action in the Super Bowl this year. Edwards is a first-team All-Pro in his fourth year with the Eagles. Chenal ends his rookie year in the NFL with a Super Bowl appearance. He has played on both defense and special teams for the Chiefs this season.
Seventeen former Badgers players played and won in the previous Super Bowls. The most recent additions to the list were last year when the Rams’ offensive linemen David Edwards and Rob Havenstein joined the list after the team’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
