Za’Darius Smith Has Strong Words for Aaron Rodgers Regarding Week One

Za’Darius Smith has not shied away when talking about the Packers since the day he signed with the Minnesota Vikings.  Za’Darius Smith has spent the last three seasons with the Packers, and first four before that in Baltimore. In fact, Smith almost resigned with Baltimore before backing out and signing with Minnesota.

    Smith’s Comments on Aaron Rodgers

Smith appeared the on The Rich Eisen Show and had some things to say regarding week one:

“I can’t wait to get a chance to face them the first game and see that look on Aaron Rodgers’ face when he see me on the other side of the ball. It’s going to be a, ‘It’s good to see you again, but now, it’s not at practice.”

During the interview Smith admitted that he wanted to return to Green Bay.  He also said the two sides just “weren’t able to come to a contractual agreement.”  Since then Za’Darius has seemed to take a personal vendetta against Green Bay.  He has clearly circled week one, and I’m sure the Packers offensive line has too.

Za’Darius Smith Updates Fans on backing out of Ravens Deal:

Some believed Smith was seeking more money on the open market after seeing the massive deal Von Miller signed with the Buffalo Bills. However, during an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, the veteran linebacker refuted the notion that Miller’s deal had anything to do with his decision to pass on the Ravens’ offer.

“I really didn’t even know about Von Miller’s situation. I think during the time, I was actually getting a massage when my agent was on the phone going back and forth,” said Smith. “I just received a text message saying that I had signed, and I never did agree to anything. And that’s how that worked out.

“…It would have been good to go back to Baltimore, but things wasn’t what it was supposed to be. That’s why I’m here now with the Vikings and just happy to be here with another opportunity to play football.”

What a little biotch. He wanted to return to GB then take a paycut and resign. You’re literally acting like a hypocrite. Pissed Aaron got paid and you didn’t. What did you do last year but sitout injured?

If you listen to the actual interview, Z was very complimentary of the Packers and the comment about facing Rodgers was more light-hearted than anything.

Stop pretending you are a diehard Aaron fan. Were you last year when he had not showed up for anything? He’s selfish and probably will get knocked on his butt a lot this coming season. Wonder why he doesn’t like Love? Should the Packers not have a backup qb? Most teams do. Aaron has been hurt before!
