Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin Badgers coaching staff have been hard at work since he was announced as the next head coach. This has certainly been on full display over the last few days as Wisconsin landed big commitments from two former Cincinnati commits. Today, it was reported that the Wisconsin Badgers are now hosting another major transfer portal quarterback. This time it is Brennan Armstrong, a transfer from the University of Virginia.
Wisconsin Badgers Hosting QB Brennan Armstrong
After hosting Nick Evers earlier this week, former Virginia quarterback Brennan Armstrong will visit Madison. Armstrong spent the last five years with Virginia and was a starter for three years. His best season came in 2021 when he threw for 4,449 yards and 31 touchdowns while completing 65.2% of his passes. The three-year starter took a step back in 2022. He finished with 2,210 yards and seven touchdowns with 12 interceptions. However, Armstrong was able to rush well, posting 371 yards and six touchdowns on the ground.
Armstrong is a former three-star quarterback out of the state of Ohio. He was the 27th-ranked player in the state. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound quarterback shows promise on the ground and through the air. Badgers head coach Luke Fickell has said he looks for quarterbacks that can throw and use their legs well. With Armstrong coming to campus and Nick Evers’ visit earlier this week, it seems Fickell will stick to that criteria in the search for the Wisconsin Badgers’ new QB.
