The Green Bay Packers made only one trade during the NFL Trade Deadline on Tuesday. Green Bay traded outside linebacker Preston Smith to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a seventh-round pick.

This may not have been a very popular move among the fanbase, but the Packers had to make it for financial reasons. He has recorded 19 tackles and 2.5 sacks with Green Bay this season.
Green Bay Packers Fans Are Disappointed That Preston Smith Was Traded To the Pittsburgh Steelers

Many Packers fans were disappointed that Smith being traded to the Steelers was the only move Green Bay made during Tuesday’s NFL Trade Deadline. Some people thought they were going to make more moves than that, but that was it. Here is what the fanbase had to say about it:
Wish him the best

You go ahead and sit on your draft picks, with the worst pass rush in the league.

Nixon is gonna to cost us an NFC Championship just like King did

Were we THAT desperate to get him off the books? Literally traded for a guy that’s going to get cut to go on the ps when it gets time to trim down to 53 next off-season.

The Green Bay Packers fanbase is upset that general manager Brian Gutekunst didn’t do more at the NFL trade deadline. They felt like Preston Smith needed to be on the team for the rest of the season. Green Bay fans also wanted to see them trade for a cornerback and needed help in the secondary.
Smith and T.J. Watt Paired Up In Pittsburgh

The Steelers will get to pair up Preston Smith and T.J. Watt together as a pass-rushing duo. The Steelers are also 6-2 this season and are trying to potentially dethrone the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC.
Pittsburgh also traded for wide receiver Mike Williams from the New York Jets. This was a good trade for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the short term but it will be better for the Green Bay Packers in the long term.
