Luke Fickell has been showing his recruiting prowess in the first months as the head coach of the Badgers. The 2023 class is looking great despite Fickell getting a very late start. This should make Badgers’ fans very excited about future recruiting classes. If Fickell can do this in a month, imagine what he can do when given the full amount of time to recruit. Fickell could pick up a huge recruit for 2024 this week. Wisconsin gets a crystal ball for QB Mabrey Mettauer.
Wisconsin is getting crystal-balled for 6ft-5in QBs from Texas? what is this world.

Wisconsin The Favorites For QB Mabrey Mettauer?
Mettauer is a 6’5″ 215 pound QB recruit out of Texas. He is a 4-star recruit who is ranked as the no. 21 QB nationally. He was given an offer from Wisconsin back in June and made an unofficial visit to Madison in September. Once Fickell was hired, it seems that only strengthened the case to come to Wisconsin. Now, some analysts are calling Wisconsin the favorite to get Mettauer.

This would be a massive get for the Badgers. This would get the 2024 class off to a good start and would make Wisconsin an even more attractive place to be.
Decision Coming Soon
We should not have to wait very long to find out the decision. Mettauer tweeted that he plans to decide on Christmas Eve where he will play football.
I will be committing on Christmas Eve❄️❄️

In between all of the Christmas Eve festivities, Badgers’ fans will want to keep an eye on this announcement. He has offers from many other schools including Florida, LSU, TCU, Kansas State, and Cincinnati. Mettauer is a heavily recruited player who has offers from the top programs. If he were to choose Wisconsin, it would show that the Badgers are ready to compete with the big schools in terms of recruiting.
Hopefully, Wisconsin does get a verbal commitment from QB Mabrey Mettauer. Even if Mettauer decides to go elsewhere, the fact that the Badgers are in the mix for a prospect like this is a good thing.
