The Wisconsin football staff could be near a potentially big commitment from a longtime priority recruit at wide receiver.
Zachary Washington, a 2026 three-star wide receiver, is a blazing fast recruit who has developed a close relationship with Wisconsin. The Illinois native is down to three schools with Wisconsin, West Virginia, and Michigan State being the final schools standing.
Washington has spent a decent amount of time on campus in Madison and could commit to the school after developing a relationship with fellow Badgers receiver commitment Tayshon Bardo.
Bardo has been pivotal in recruiting for the Wisconsin football program on a different level through connecting with other recruits. Bardo and Washington have grown close over time and could become a duo to watch out for in Madison in the future.

Wisconsin Football Program Aiming to Land Zachary Washington Following Productive Official Visit

Following a huge official visit and a chance to meet with the Wisconsin football staff again, Washington has secured multiple predictions to land with the team. While Washington could land elsewhere, the commitment to Wisconsin seems like a perfect match.
On the field, Washington is a burning receiver who can run any route in the tree when needed on the field. Washington is a crafty player that can be incredibly difficult to stay with in coverage due to the quick cuts and excellent footwork of the receiver.
Washington is more than just a technical receiver as well, as the 6-foot-2-inch receiver can snag nearly any throw that drops his way. Washington reads the football out of the hands of the quarterback and seemingly always understands where the ball will land.
Landing a commitment from Washington would be big for the Wisconsin football program who is desperately looking to add talent to all skill positions. Wisconsin wants to become more physical and more athletic, and landing Washington would be a great addition.
