The Wisconsin football staff remains in-play for a physical Florida defensive lineman, who has now announced his commitment date.
Wilnerson Telemaque, a three-star defensive lineman in the 2025 recruiting class, announced earlier this week he will make a commitment decision. Telemaque will announce his decision on June 18th, with Georgia Tech, West Virginia, and Wisconsin football leading the charge. The defensive lineman has thoroughly impressed the Wisconsin staff with his physical and aggressive style of play.
Wisconsin Football Makes Final Cut For Physical Defensive Lineman Wilnerson Telemaque
After months of cutting down his list, three-star defensive lineman Wilnerson Telemaque is finally down to what seems like a three-way battle for his commitment. Telemaque, a Florida native, announced his commitment date would be on June 18th, just days after his scheduled visit to Georgia Tech. The defensive lineman plans on making a decision between West Virginia, Georgia Tech, and Wisconsin after completing his final official visit.
Telemaque currently has expert predictions that have him landing with the Mountaineers, but that could change following the completion of his visits.
Wisconsin Badgers Football Loves Physicality, Aggressive Play out of Telemaque
Recruiting Telemaque has been an easy decision for the Wisconsin football staff due to what he will add to the team. Wisconsin has been eager to find physical, aggressive players at every position on the field. Wisconsin wants to play their own style of football, but that cannot be achieved unless they have the correct players to ‘fit in’.
In the case of Telemaque, his 6-foot-6-inch frame and incredible strength has been more than enough to gain the attention of Wisconsin. The Badgers feel that Telemaque is a player who could slide into their system with ease, and he certainly could do just that in the future.
Can the Wisconsin Badgers Football Staff Land a Commitment From Telemaque?
At this point in time, it is currently a two team race to land Telemaque between the Wisconsin football program and the West Virginia Mountaineers. West Virginia has put their most successful recruiters over the past few years on the job as Bilal Marshall has been the primary recruiter. Marshall was the primary recruiter for the top commitments in the 2024 and 2025 class for the Mountaineers.
Telemaque has been vocal about wanting to play for a program that offers him playing time, and while the Mountaineers have plenty bodies, Telemaque could still find the field. For the Wisconsin football staff, finding a role for Telemaque would not be hard due to the fact that he plays the style of football they are looking for in recruits.
