Wisconsin Football: Way-Too-Early 2023 Bowl Predictions
247Sports definitely thinks that the Badgers are going to make some noise this season. However, they do not have them overtaking other Big Ten powerhouses. They are projected to make the Orange Bowl and would play Florida State. This would be a serious step up for the Badgers as they played in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl last year. The Orange Bowl would be a high-profile bowl game against a high-profile opponent.
Where Does The Rest Of The Big Ten Land?
Both Michigan and Ohio State are projected to be in the College Football Playoff which is why Wisconsin is on the outside looking in. It is interesting that both of those teams are projected to be in the playoff as one of the teams will have at least one loss due to their head-to-head matchup. Michigan State and Iowa are the only other Big Ten teams that are projected for bowl games in 2023. Michigan State would get a Guaranteed Rate Bowl bid and Iowa would go to the Music City Bowl. 247Sports is clearly thinking that the Big Ten will be very top-heavy this year.

The real question this season is whether Wisconsin could overtake either Michigan or Ohio State. They play the Buckeyes midseason which will be a huge matchup if the Badgers hope to score a playoff berth. For now, the way-too-early 2023 bowl predictions have Wisconsin football scoring a major bowl game.
