The Wisconsin football staff recently extended a scholarship offer to a strong wide receiver early on in the recruiting process.

Cam Wade, a 2027 four-star wide receiver from Tennessee, earned a scholarship from the Wisconsin staff days ago after recently picking up an offer from the Tennessee Volunteers. Wade holds offers from 11 programs including Indiana, Louisville, Missouri, Ole Miss, Purdue, and Vanderbilt. The receiver earned a scholarship offer from Tennessee after camping with the program and showcasing his skills in front of the staff.

Wisconsin has had previous success recruiting Tennessee as the staff eyes expanding deeper into the south for top recruits. The Badgers landed three-star Tennessee native defensive lineman Djidjou Bah in the 2026 cycle and were a finalist for three-star defensive back Jamyan Theodore.

While an offer has only just been put on the table, the Wisconsin football staff has expressed a strong interest in Wade and what the receiver can offer the team on the field.

When on the field, Wade is a dominant receiver that can hurt a defense in a variety of ways that mainly surround the speed of the athlete. Wade can hurt a defense over the top with his blazing speed and great acceleration, but the receiver is equally as dangerous in short yardage situations. The receiver has quick feet, great route running skills, and crisp open field moves that make keeping up with Wade difficult for any defender.

What has really set Wade apart early on is the concentration of the receiver who seemingly performs better in the midst of chaos. Wade regularly brings down tough contested or off-balance catches and makes many of the hauls look easy. The receiver has shown great promise early and already has a developed frame at 5-feet-11-inches and roughly 165-ponds.
