While much of the attention of the Wisconsin football staff has been upon Eugene Hilton Jr, another big receiver has remained a top target.
Muizz Tounkara, a three-star receiver in the 2025 recruiting class, has been a priority target at the position for the Badgers. Tounkara, a Texas native, currently holds 27 scholarship offers and also has official visits with Arizona, Arkansas, and Kansas. The receiver has been quiet about where he is currently leaning, however the Wisconsin football program appears to still be a major player.
Wisconsin Football Remains Heavily In Play For Three-Star Receiver Muizz Tounkara
While the Wisconsin football staff has been leading heavily in the recruitment of Hilton Jr, Muizz Tounkara has remained a major target. Tounkara took his official visit in Madison during the final weekend of May, and has since visited the Kansas Jayhawks. The receiver is scheduled to visit Arizona this coming weekend, and Arkansas the following weekend.
Wisconsin Badgers Football Staff Loves Physical Play, Large Frame of Tounkara
What has stood out on the field for the Wisconsin football staff when recruiting Tounkara is his physical play both in the air and on the ground. While Tounkara plays physically and throws out stiff arms, he can also juke through traffic to find an open lane. Once the receiver finds open field, there are not many players on the field that are able to catch him.
Tounkara is also an accomplished track athlete and runs with incredible speed on the field. Wisconsin feels that with his 6-foot-4-inch frame and speed, Tounkara could become a very difficult receiver to stop in their offense.
Can the Wisconsin Football Staff Still Land Tounkara Despite Potentially Adding Hilton Jr?

One of the biggest questions surrounding Tounkara and the Wisconsin football team is whether or not he would join the program if fellow receiver Eugene Hilton Jr does as well. Wisconsin has been labeled as the team to beat for Hilton Jr, who would join a strong room of receivers.
However, the potential commitment of Hilton Jr does not seem to be a major factor in the decision of Tounkara. Tounkara is going to finish his remaining official visits before making a decision, but the other programs involved may not be able to offer any playing time early on. Arkansas currently has 15 receivers and one incoming signee, and Arizona has eight receivers but only three are upperclassmen.
Arizona will also return their top two leading receivers, including Tetairoa McMillan, who led the team with a whopping 90 receptions a season ago. If playing time truly becomes a factor for Tounkara, the Wisconsin football program could be his best option.
