The Wisconsin football staff has landed another commitment in their 2025 recruiting class this afternoon during official visit weekend.
2025 four-star tackle Logan Powell has announced his commitment to the Wisconsin football program after much consideration. Powell has committed to the Badgers over Alabama, Arizona, Tennessee, and Arizona State to name a few. The Badgers now have 12 commitments in their 2025 recruiting class, with Powell coming in as the highest-ranked member of the class for Wisconsin.
Wisconsin Football Lands Four-Star Commitment From Tackle Logan Powell
During the first week of official visits, the Wisconsin football staff has already secured a commitment after Logan Powell announced his decision this afternoon. Powell, a four-star offensive tackle from Arizona, held 26 scholarship offers from major programs like Arizona, Alabama, and Tennessee. The Badgers were able to land Powell over the other major schools to lock-in their 12th commitment of the 2025 cycle.
Powell is ranked as the second-overall recruit in Arizona and the 25th offensive tackle in the 2025 recruiting class. The offensive tackle is currently the highest-rated player in the 2025 class for the Wisconsin football program.
Wisconsin Badgers Football Adds Strong, Physical Offensive Tackle to the Line
if there is one thing every coach loves about a lineman, it is when they are not afraid to bulldoze through the opposing defense. Powell is just that type of lineman, coming in at 6-foot-4-inches and 280-pounds with a quick burst of speed behind his powerful blocks. The tackle is likely still a year or two away from hitting the field for the Badgers given his weight, but with the program Wisconsin has he can certainly meet his potential on the team.
What is Next for the Wisconsin Football Recruiting Staff Following Powell Commitment?
Wisconsin football has been working hard to fill their biggest needs this recruiting cycle, and the staff has done a good job thus far. Powell is an excellent addition for the team, and also provides another layer of depth at a position the Badgers were not extremely successful at last season.
For Wisconsin football, the next move will likely come in the form of a commitment from one of their many cornerback targets. The Badgers hold expert predictions for two different cornerbacks in Rukeem Stroud and Mason Alexander, who each will visit campus shortly.
