Wisconsin Football: Exciting In-State TE Korz Loken Rises to 4-Star Rating

The Wisconsin football staff has kept a close eye on an in-state recruit, who has just found his fourth-star after being entered into the database.

Korz Loken, a now four-star 2027 tight end from Wisconsin, was recently added into the recruiting database ranking system by On3 Sports. Loken is widely considered one of, if not, the top-ranked recruit in the state of Wisconsin in his recruiting class. With his fourth-star added and a more motivation tacked onto this upcoming season for the tight end, it could quite the show to watch as Loken takes the field.

Wisconsin Football Target Korz Loken Earns Four-Star, Top In-State Ranking

After plenty of time waiting for the 2027 football recruiting rankings to drop, the in-state phenom Korz Loken officially earned the status of four-star tight end. Loken, a Iola-Scandinavia native, has been on the radar of the Wisconsin football staff after his successful first campaign last season. Loken is not your average tight end, with a rare combination of both speed and power for his position.

Often, it is difficult to find tight ends who love to catch the ball while also excelling at the blocking portion of their job. Loken, however, is just the opposite as he loves to help his team in any manner, even if it means picking up an intense block when needed. Alongside his four-star rating, Loken was also ranked as the top player in the state of Wisconsin within the 2027 recruiting class.

The Wisconsin football staff has worked to build a relationship with Loken, and will host the recruit next month when South Dakota visits Madison.

Can Loken Earn a Fifth-Star Following the 2024 Football Season?

Heading into his second season of high school football as a four-star recruit, Loken does have the potential to earn his fifth and final star. Loken previously spoke with the Wisconsin Sports Heroics staff and gave insight into the offense that his team runs in Iola-Scandinavia. With a run heavy offense, it may be hard for Loken to be able to achieve a five-star rating, but certainly not impossible.

Loken is a big, physical tight end that truly enjoys blocking and enjoys the thrill of being able to throw around an opposing defender. While he does not receive tons of opportunities to make a difference through the air, that has not stopped Loken from working to be the best receiving tight end he can become. When given the chance, Loken is a dynamic receiver that has the ability to juke past or simply run over any defender in his way.

Can the Wisconsin Badgers Football Staff Land Loken in the Future?

There is no doubt that Loken will soon become a hot commodity in the college football recruiting world, which does not guarantee a close-to-home bonus for the Badgers. Wisconsin is going to be up against tough competition, with Iowa State holding a soft spot in the heart of the recruit after becoming his first scholarship offer.

The Wisconsin football staff has plenty of work ahead of them in order to land Loken, and that will all start with the elusive scholarship. The Wisconsin staff has admittedly not done much work within the 2027 recruiting class yet, but likely will begin to distribute their allotted scholarships in the class. Loken should be a lock for an offer from Wisconsin, but it is a matter of when that will occur.

The pivotal moment in the recruitment of Loken could come sooner rather than later as the recruit is scheduled to attend the South Dakota-Wisconsin game next month. This visit could be the time where the staff extends a scholarship to Loken, which is something to certainly watch out for.
