The Wisconsin football staff recently extended a scholarship offer to a top wide receiver coming out of the state of Missouri.
2026 three-star athlete Jacob Eberhart picked up another scholarship, this time coming from Wisconsin during a conversation with the team. The staff loved the film they had recently seen on the receiver, and opted to extend a scholarship right away. Nebraska, Illinois, Boston College, and UNLV among others have also been involved with Eberhart.
Eberhart also noted that Kansas State and Iowa State are two teams that have worked to develop a relationship with the recruit early on.
The talented receiver spoke about his experience with the Wisconsin football staff thus far, and stated, “They have a great coaching staff and really care about you as a person more than a recruit.” Eberhart also went on to add, “They have been staying in contact with me very frequently.”
Eberhart walks in at 6-feet-3-inches, and roughly 200-pounds, with the big frame that Wisconsin has looked for at receiver. The Badgers staff is looking to retool many positions towards different, more physical builds at every position. The current goal is to become faster and more athletic as a team, and Eberhart would certainly add to both of those categories.

The wide receiver is both a deep-threat style player as well as a possession receiver, who can make the simple catches needed to move the offense. Eberhart can still gash a defense, however, and possesses incredible speed that allows himself to do so.
Wisconsin Football Staff Eyeing a Potential Future Commitment From Jacob Eberhart
With other programs showing plenty of interest, the Wisconsin football staff will have quite the road ahead of them before landing a potential commitment from Eberhart.
When asked about factors of his recruitment that will lead up to his commitment, Eberhart stated, “I love to build a bond with my coaches off the field to just call and chat it up about life.”
The only potential issue for Wisconsin could be the geographic location, as Eberhart stated he would rather not go somewhere cold as he “…can’t deal with the cold.” However, the wide receiver is willing to compromise as long as he is in a “great” city and in a place where the city will “love” him back.
Wisconsin has a deep, and rich history of supporting sports and athletes from all of the teams in the great state. Specifically, Madison has been a place known for passion and known for a certain level of love and respect for the collegiate athletes. Should Eberhart ever decide to attend Madison, the wide receiver would certainly fit right into the rich sports culture that knows and loves their athletes on a different level.
