After a recent official visit with the Wisconsin football staff, a top target has cancelled one of his other official visits.
2025 offensive guard Hardy Watts has been the ideal candidate for the Wisconsin football staff as they attempt to round of their class. Watts is an intriguing player that carries both size and strength on the field, and plays an aggressive style of football the staff loves. Wisconsin would like one more offensive lineman before closing out that side of the football in their 2025 recruiting class.
Wisconsin Football Target Hardy Watts Cancels Upcoming Boston College Visit

The Wisconsin football staff was lucky enough to secure an official visit with 2025 offensive guard Hardy Watts. Watts has been a key recruit for the Badgers staff as they feel he would round out their recruiting class for the cycle. After having Watts on campus recently for his official visit, the recruit cancelled one of his upcoming visits with a different school.
Watts announced via X early this morning that he would be cancelling an upcoming official visit with Boston College. The recruit also stated he would still attend his Michigan official visit later this month, presumably bringing the race for his commitment down to three programs. The Clemson Tigers have also been a major figure in the recruitment of Watts.
The offensive guard is a four-star recruit and currently the top-ranked recruit in the state of Massachusetts. Watts comes in as the 12th overall interior offensive lineman in the 2025 recruiting class.
Following a Successful Visit, Wisconsin Football Could be in Prime Position to Land Watts

With Watts cancelling his upcoming official visit with Boston College, the Wisconsin football program could be moving into a great position to land the recruit. The lineman is down to Michigan, Clemson, and the Wisconsin Badgers and likely will make his decision following his Wolverines official visit. Until then however, the Badgers staff needs to keep close contact in order to land the recruit.
Over the past few months, Boston College faded as an option for Watts largely due to the fact that the program did not excite him enough. Watts stated he did not expect to enjoy himself in Madison during the official visit as much as he did. Whether it is Wisconsin, Michigan, or Clemson, the team that earns Watts will need to pull-out all of the stops.
Can the Wisconsin Badgers Football Staff Impress Watts Enough to Earn a Commitment?

For the Wisconsin football staff, landing Watts could be difficult as the decision is out of their hands now. Watts has informed Wisconsin and Clemson staff members that he will attend his official visit with Michigan, which likely means that Watts still has not reached a true decision. The Badgers will have to hold on for the remainder of the month as the interior lineman takes his final official visit.
