Since the opening of the 2026 recruiting period, the Wisconsin football staff has been in close contact with a great three-star lineman.
Adrian Hamilton, a 2026 three-star interior offensive lineman, currently holds 12 scholarship offers and has been very active since the start of the recruiting period. Hamilton has drawn major interest from Wake Forest, West Virginia, and Virginia Tech early on, but has recently become a Wisconsin target. During a recent interview with Wisconsin Sports Heroics, Hamilton broke down his interest in Wisconsin as well as his recruiting experience.
Wisconsin Football Targeting Three-Star Interior Offensive Lineman Adrian Hamilton
After the opening of the 2026 recruiting period began, the Wisconsin football staff and Offensive Line Coach AJ Blazek set their sights on a physical interior lineman. Three-star lineman Adrian Hamilton, a Maryland native, has been a big target along the line for Wisconsin. Hamilton currently attends St. John’s College High School in Washington, D.C.
Along with Wisconsin, plenty of other programs have been in close contact with Hamilton since the opening of his recruitment. South Carolina, Toledo, and West Virginia in particular has been recruiting Hamilton hard in order to develop a relationship early on.
Adrian Hamilton: “I Think Wisconsin Is a Great School, I Know They Have Good Running Backs”
With the Wisconsin football staff keeping a close eye on Hamilton, the offensive lineman was asked about his thoughts on the program. Hamilton responded, “I think Wisconsin is a great school, I know they have good running backs and have had good running backs in the past.” The offensive lineman continued to stated, “With good running backs comes a great running game, and as an offensive lineman you would love that.”
As an offensive lineman, Hamilton is quick to admit he is not the tallest standing in at 6-feet-3-inches. However, what he lacks in size, the offensive lineman makes up for in his frame and athleticism for someone who is floating around 270-pounds. Hamilton holds a seven-foot wingspan which allows him to cover more space with the help of his agility as well.
Hamilton enjoys what Wisconsin has to offer on the offensive side of the ball, but they are not the only program. When asked about what programs the offensive lineman is looking to form a relationship with, Hamilton stated, “I think Wisconsin is one of them, Maryland, Syracuse, and some ACC schools like Duke and NC State as well.”
Wisconsin Badgers Football Staff, Hamilton Looking Forward to Developing Close Relationship
Both the Wisconsin football staff and Hamilton are looking forward to developing a relationship moving forward. Hamilton feels Wisconsin is a great schools due to their play style and history of having successful running backs. While Hamilton did not mention it, the growing tradition of successful offensive lineman at Wisconsin can also potential boost his interest in the program.
