The Wisconsin football staff is set to host one of their top athletes in the 2026 recruiting class against the Purdue Boilermakers this season.
2026 three-star inside linebacker Brady Ballart, a native of Indiana, is set to visit the Wisconsin football program during their game against the Boilermakers. Ballart is one of the top linebackers the Wisconsin staff has kept a close relationship with in the 2026 recruiting cycle. The talented athlete currently holds five scholarship offers, but has not yet received an offer from Wisconsin and very well may receive one during his upcoming visit.
Wisconsin Football Staff Hosting Three-Star Linebacker Brady Ballart During Purdue Game
The Wisconsin football staff is expecting to display some exciting and competitive football this season, which is why they have been inviting plenty of recruits to games. Getting the true and full game-day experience is something that every recruit wants to have, but not everyone gets to have with the teams that they want to. Wisconsin embraced this last year as well, and has been flooding the campus with as many recruits as they can.
One of the recruits that the Wisconsin football staff has invited to an upcoming clash against the Purdue Boilermakers is 2026 three-star linebacker Brady Ballart. Ballart, an Indiana native, is an accomplished athlete with experience playing on both sides of the field. Despite his potential on each side, it seems as though Ballart is going to play linebacker moving forward when he reaches the collegiate level.
Ballart currently holds scholarships from Louisville, Toledo, Ball State, Eastern Michigan, and Miami of Ohio. The linebacker has also drawn interest from Cincinnati, Indiana, Purdue, Minnesota, and Notre Dame along with the Wisconsin football program. Wisconsin has not offered a scholarship to Ballart just yet, but with the recruit taking his second visit against Purdue, it might be just a matter of time.
Purdue is one of the first programs that Ballart had visited during the start of his recruitment, but has not been back since. The Boilermakers will visit Madison this season on October 5th and hope to walk away with a win in enemy territory. Wisconsin, however, aims to dazzle in front of their home crown and their top recruiting prospects as well.
What can Ballart Add to the Wisconsin Badgers Football Team?
Ballart is a talented athlete in both a physical and mental capacity due to what he can offer a team on the football field. Inside linebackers are known for being able to read the field and predict what play is going to occur before it actually does. Ballart does just that and his innate ability to follow the football allows him to consistently finish plays.
The linebacker is also an exceptional physical player, possessing both a prototypical frame for his position as well as great strength. Ballart stands in at 6-feet-2-inches, and roughly 215-pounds, with plenty of room left for growth on his frame. Ballart also possesses incredible athleticism with a great burst of speed and the agility to cut in a different direction when running at full speed.
Currently, Ballart is considered an athlete due to the season he had last year where the linebacker also played offense for his team. Ballart recorded 525 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on the ground to go along with 94 receiving yards. Ballart had 108 total touches on offense and certainly made the most of his play on that side of the field.
On defense, Ballart had 64 total tackles and seven tackles for a loss along with an interception and two fumble recoveries. During his first year of play, Ballart recorded a total of 98 tackles, a sack, and six tackles for a loss. The athlete even tried his hand at returning punts a season ago, with two returns and just seven return yards from the linebacker.
