You can feel the excitement around the Wisconsin Badgers football program. Luke Fickell has scored some huge players through the transfer portal and Badgers fans are already looking toward next year. The Wisconsin football 2023 schedule is out and is full of tantalizing matchups. Here is your first look at the Wisconsin football 2023 schedule.
Non-Conference Games
The Badgers will play three non-conference games this year with one of them being a revenge game.
September 2: vs. Buffalo
September 9: at Washington State
September 16: vs. Georgia Southern
The Badgers begin their season at home versus Buffalo before going on the road for their revenge game. Washington State handed the Badgers a loss last year and the Badgers will look to pick up a key non-conference win on the road. They then return home for a tune-up game versus Georgia Southern before Big Ten play kicks off.
Wisconsin Football 2023 Schedule: The Big Ten Slate
The Big Ten is going to be tougher next year. While the Big Ten West was very weak this year, teams have reloaded and the Badgers have some tough road games.
September 23: at Purdue
October 7: vs. Rutgers
October 14: vs. Iowa
October 21: at Illinois
October 28: vs. Ohio State
November 4: at Indiana
November 11: vs. Northwestern
November 18: vs. Nebraska
November 25: at Minnesota
The Wisconsin football 2023 schedule has a grueling Big Ten slate. Purdue right out of the gate is a tough one. They were the Big Ten West winners last year and the new QB Hudson Card was a top transfer portal prize. Games against Iowa and Nebraska are tough but are fortunately at home. Illinois and Minnesota will be tough places to play but the Badgers will hopefully be able to take care of business. The marquee matchup is versus Ohio State. Fortunately, the matchup is at home so the Badgers will have the full support of the Camp Randall crowd.
While the Wisconsin football 2023 schedule looks tough, the Badgers have the talent and the coaching to get through it. The Big Ten Championship is December 2 and the Badgers look to represent the Big Ten West in that game next year.
