Freshman standout Connor Essegian made a name for himself early in this college basketball season. In the last two games especially, Essegian has made some huge shots. Essegian has made a name for himself for his shooting. He is a knockdown shooter and has shown that in the first five games of the season. A lot of the nicknames revolve around that skill set. When he comes off the bench, he heats up quickly and knocks down shots.

A Star In The Making
Essegian looks to have the skill set to be a star in the making. Basketball is a game where if one person gets hot, they can take over the game. Essegian nearly led the Badgers to a huge upset against no. 3 Kansas. If he can continue to build his game, Wisconsin might make some noise in the Big Ten. It isn’t just his scoring. Essegian also grabbed five rebounds in the last game and is perfect from the free-throw line this year. If his playmaking develops, opponents will have to watch out.
Connor Essegian looks to be on board with some type of nickname. It will be interesting to see which one sticks or which one is endorsed by Essegian himself. The season has started out promising for Wisconsin thanks to the play of many young players. The Badgers look to keep the momentum going against USC and then Wake Forest in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
