The first priority for new Wisconsin head coach Luke Fickell is recruiting. The Badgers are trying to rebuild their 2023 class after many have left due to the coaching change. The early conversations seem to be going well with many recruits receiving offers. Wisconsin has extended an offer to in-state RB Wynn Stang.
After an amazing call with @CoachTurnerUW I am truly honored and extremely blessed to receive a PWO from The University of Wisconsin!!!!🔴⚪️ @CoachFick pic.twitter.com/QXey2ALM0c

Wisconsin Extends Offer To In-State RB Wynn Stang
Fickell made it clear that the first priority was to recruit the state. Very few programs do well if they cannot get recruits within a 300-mile radius of the campus. This latest offer shows Fickell’s commitment to recruiting the state. Stang played for Mukwonago High School and rushed for a ridiculous 2,763 yards and 42 touchdowns. This earned him the 2022 Max Preps Wisconsin High School Football Player of the Year. He is the 15th-ranked player in the state of Wisconsin.
Fickell Looks To Keep Wisconsin RB Tradition Alive
The list of legendary Wisconsin RBs is long. Fickell seems to be looking to keep that tradition alive. A strong running game is the basis of any good offense and Wisconsin is aiming for the best in the state. If he is able to get him, it will go a long way in convincing Wisconsin recruits that Madison is a great place to be. The work is not done. The transfer portal is full of good players that Fickell and his staff are trying to convince to come to the program.
It is great to hear that Wisconsin extended an offer to in-state RB Wynn Stang. It was a couple of weeks ago that Fickell said he would recruit the state and now we get to see those words turned into action. These next couple of months will be ones to watch on the recruiting front for all teams.
