The Wisconsin Badgers had quite the day today. The Big Ten announced their regular season awards and there was number of Badgers honored. This was headlined by Johnny Davis winning Big Ten Player Of The Year and Greg Gard taking home Coach of The Year. However, there were a number of other players that received honors too. Here are remaining honors.
Brad Davison- 2nd Team All Conference
Second-Team All-Big Ten 👏
Congrats, Brad Davison! pic.twitter.com/j2dVfaaFJT

The senior point guard has had a great final season with the Badgers. It’s no surprise Davison is on this list as he is the leader of this team. He is also the heart and soul for Wisconsin. While Johnny Davis is Batman, Davison is a great Robin. Wisconsin will truly miss Davison when his career comes to a close.
In his senior season, Davison averages 14 points, four rebounds, and two assists a game. While he is in a little bit of a shooting slump, I have no doubt Davison will turn it around as the postseason is here and this is his last chance to make a deep run.
Tyler Wahl- Honorable Mention All Conference
All-Big Ten Honorable Mention
Congrats to our guy, @tjwahl01 pic.twitter.com/nF09tHvPd5

Speaking of having a solid year, how about the year junior Tyler Wahl has had? He has been all over the court for Wisconsin and has saved multiple possessions throughout the season. Tyler Wahl is everything you want in a player. He doesn’t demand touches, he knows his role, and he’ll do anything that is asked of him. I am glad the Big Ten coaches and media included him.
In his junior for Wisconsin, Wahl is averaging 11.6 points, six rebounds and almost two assists a game. A similar stat line to Davison, Wahl has made the third year jump coaches and fans expect players to make. With the departure of Brad Davison and most likely Johnny Davis, this will be Wahl’s team next season in his senior year.
Chucky Hepburn- All Freshman Team
First-year freshman has been B1G!
Congrats, @ChuckyHepburn 👏 pic.twitter.com/Tk4MgrDwe3

The Wisconsin point guard was given the keys to the team in early summer. When you play basketball at Wisconsin, that doesn’t happen. However, Greg Gard and his staff knew what they had in the four star point guard from Nebraska. We knew Chucky Hepburn would be good in a Wisconsin uniform. However, I didn’t think he would make this big of an impact this early. Already having a buzzer-beater Big Ten Championship shot under his belt, Hepburn can still improve. That should scare the rest of the Big Ten for the next three seasons.
In his freshman season, Hepburn is averaging eight points, two rebounds, and a team high 2.3 assists. He does shoot only 39% from the field. I do expect him to improve on that next season as he will be asked to shoot the ball more.
Jordan Davis- Sportsmanship Award
Davis was awarded a Big Ten sportsmanship award as well. In his sophomore year, Jordan is averaging just over one point a game, His playing time has grown over the last few weeks with Lorne Bowman out with an illness.
While none of Jordan Davis’ stats will pop out, I do think he will be key contributor next season. There’s also a chance he could be a starter. He looks more confident on the court with the additional minutes. As a result, I am excited to see what his role will be next season.
