We knew going into the summer the Wisconsin Badgers would not have the same team returning next season. The transfer portal has taken over college athletics, and player look to join other teams they feel fit their game best. This afternoon, junior guard Jordan Davis announced he would enter the College Basketball transfer portal.

Jordan Davis Leaving Wisconsin, Enter College Basketball Transfer Protal
Davis started 16 games for the Badgers. Eventually, Connor Essegian took over the role as Essegian was becoming too good of an offensive player to keep on the bench. Davis was usually the second man off the bench the rest of the way. After struggling to find playing time in his first two seasons, Davis averaged over 20 minutes a game and scored 5.1 points a game, adding 3.5 rebounds a contest. He also recorded a career-high 15 points at Northwestern in January.
I was curious to see if Davis would enter the College Basketball transfer portal or stick it out. As the brother of Johnny Davis, I’m sure it was hard for Jordan to be himself instead of Johnny’s brother. While he didn’t wow you on the stat sheet, he was a good defender and rolled to the basket as well as any player on this team. You could tell he had a good feel for the game and what his role was. I hope Jordan finds what he’s looking for in the College Basketball transfer portal. He’s an easy guy to root for. Best of luck, Jordan!
