The Wisconsin basketball team has lost their second straight game after facing the Providence Friars and now open the season 1-2.
The Badgers visited the Friars Tuesday evening with hopes of pulling off an impressive win. However, Wisconsin basketball again struggled to finish their shots and left plenty of points out on the court. Sophomore guard AJ Storr led the scoring for the Badgers with 22 points and two three-point shots.
Wisconsin Basketball Loses Second Straight Game After Struggling from the Floor

During an off night against the Friars, Wisconsin shot 33.9% from the floor and 25% from long range. The Badgers were much improved from the charity stripe, however, making all 12 of their attempts. Providence came out with a strong defense against the Wisconsin basketball team, which caused the Badgers to take a fair amount of unwanted shots throughout the game.

Wisconsin only managed to record six assists against the Friars which is rather unusual for a team that likes to move the ball around. The Friars forced the Badgers into the paint the majority of the game, but also struggled to convert on their open opportunities from deep. In the first half in particular, Wisconsin tried to adjust their play-style and attack the paint, but could not get the shots to drop.
The Friars, on the other hand, were clinical from the field hitting 58.5% of their field goals. Providence also shot 44.4% from three-point range while drawing plenty of fouls against the Badgers. Wisconsin basketball allowed Providence to shoot 27 free throw attempts, which is far too many easy points allowed.
Wisconsin Badgers Basketball Aim to Bounce Back Against Robert Morris

Wisconsin has now had two performances in a row during their young season where they have struggled to score the ball. While it is still incredibly early, this could be the start of an alarming trend for the Wisconsin Badgers basketball team. Wisconsin will have a few days to prepare for their upcoming game on November 17th against Robert Morris University, which could be a bounce back game for the team.
Robert Morris is currently 1-2 as well, coming off of a 66-62 loss to Towson. The Wisconsin basketball team should handily beat their opponent, which makes this game a perfect opportunity for the Badgers to work out their issues. Expect the Badgers to return to moving the ball around and controlling the pace of play moving forward.
