The Wisconsin Badger mens basketball team will have some fun this summer! It’s been announced the team will travel to France for 10 days. The team will be there from August 7-17. There they will play some French professional teams.
Opponents
It is to be determined who the Badgers will play in France. However, we do know according to the Badgers website the team will play in Paris on August 10. They will next travel to Lyon for games on August 12 and 13. The trip will conclude in South of France for a game on August 15. As a result, it should be some good competition for a young team.
Initial Thoughts
I love that the Badgers are doing this. From a basketball standpoint, they get to develop early chemistry while playing some of the best teams in France. For a team that will have a lot of newcomers and starting spots open, it’s a great way to play live competition not against your team.
I like this trip as well because these are kids that will go on a once in a lifetime trip. The bonding and memories that will be made will be like none other. I’ll be excited to see how the trip plays out and we will have some thoughts post trip on here for you to read!
