Wisconsin basketball has hit its off-season period. Ever since the college basketball season ended a few weeks ago, Joe Lunardi of ESPN has included a few bracketology updates for the 2023-2024 season. In the last bracketology release, Lunardi had the Badgers as a five seed. Here is where the ESPN Braketologist has Wisconsin and Marquette.
Current Seeding

Lunardi currently has Wisconsin as a six seed. They would play 11 seed VCU out of the Atlantic 10. That game would take place in Detroit. The winner of this game would take on either three seed Arkansas or 14 seed Vermont. Wisconsin was placed in the Midwest region. In the West region, Marquette was a number one seed.
So far, Lunardi has had the Badgers as a five seed, six, seed, and seven seed. Right now, I think that is the correct range. Wisconsin should be better than they were last season and the reason they missed the tournament was poor play in January and not being able to win back to back games in February. This should be a better shooting team that should be healthier and will be more experienced.
Where The Rest Of The Big Ten Falls

Lunardi had nine Big Ten teams in the last bracketology release. In this latest one, he has eight making the tournament. That is tied for the most with the Big 12.
Michigan State was a one seed,. Purdue was a two seed after being a one seed earlier. That will all depend on if Zach Edey returns for his senior season. Maryland and Northwestern were included as seven seeds. Northwestern gets a big jump after Boo Buie announced yesterday he was returning for his fifth season.
As for double digit seeds, Indiana, who has a ton of production to replace, was in as a 10 seed. Rutgers and Illinois were a part of the Last 4 In. Ohio State and Iowa were a part of the First 4 Out. I think the Brice Sensabaugh decision is everything for the Buckeyes. If he returns, this is probably one of the better teams in the Big Ten. Illinois and Iowa both have a ton of production to replace as well so I am not surprised to see both teams on the bubble.
