Saturday, June 4th, is a pretty significant day in for the Wisconsin Badgers program.  Specifically for its athletes and recruiting ability across all sports.  A group of Wisconsin athletics supporters announced a brand new collective that will “provide Wisconsin Badgers student-athletes with the opportunity to monetize their name, image, and likeness (NIL).  Consequently, this will offer guidance to help them succeed on and off the field,” according to a press release.

What does this mean for Wisconsin Badgers Athletes?

Wisconsin Athletes will now be able to monetize their name, image, and likeness (NIL)

This is a HUGE step in the right direction for Wisconsin Badgers athletics.  For example, this will directly impact their ability to remain competitive in recruiting the world of sports.  Many other D1 colleges are certainly doing this exact same thing.  Before this, athletes would likely choose to attend other schools if they could make money.

The website is the “primary destination for Wisconsin Badgers student-athletes to identify business opportunities.”  It will be the best location for fans and businesses to donate money.  The support will go to their favorite athletes at The University of Wisconsin.
