The Broncos play in the MAC Conference and the Badgers are looking to get warmed up before BIG10 Conference play. Western Michigan finished with a 4-8 overall record a season ago and a 3-5 conference record. As for Wisconsin, they finished with a 7-6 overall record and a 5-4 record in BIG10 Conference play.
Senior Quarterback Hayden Wolff a Player To Watch For On the Western Michigan Broncos Against the Wisconsin Badgers
Hayden Wolff will be the starting quarterback for the Western Michigan Broncos. He became the starting quarterback for Western Michigan toward the end of the 2023 season. Wolff completed 65.5% of his passes for 1,505 yards, eight touchdowns, and five interceptions.
He is projected to be one of the better quarterbacks in the MAC Conference for the 2024 season. Wolff will look to have a good outing against a Badgers defense who will look to prove themselves in the first week of the 2024 college football season.
Wolff Has Two Senior Wide Receivers To Rely On
Hayden Wolff will have two senior starting wide receivers on the roster who will be relied upon in this offense. Kenneth Womack returns as he caught 76 passes for 691 yards receiving and one touchdown last season. Womack averaged 9.1 yards per catch. He could have a very good year for the Broncos. His 691 yards led the team in 2023.
Anthony Sambucci a season ago for Western Michigan caught 21 passes for 318 yards receiving and five touchdowns, averaging 15.1 yards per catch. Sambucci hopes to be more productive during the 2024 season for the Broncos.
The Wisconsin Badgers should be able to limit this offense to a minimum. The Broncos will face the Ohio State Buckeyes on the road next week. These games are a warmup for Hayden Wolff and Western Michigan for MAC Conference play later in the college football season.
