Wisconsin Badgers volleyball star Sarah Franklin was recently in the news as her post collegiate plans were revealed. She not only will be continuing to play volleyball in 2025, but she will remain in Madison to do so. Here is how and where Franklin will be playing as well as some former teammates that she will be reuniting with.
Sarah Franklin post collegiate plans revealed
Following the Wisconsin Badgers loss in the NCAA tournament to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Sarah Franklin was added to Madison’s League One Volleyball (LOVB) roster. Madison is one of six clubs that will take part in LOVB’s inaugural season. The other clubs are based in Atlanta, Austin, Houston, Omaha and Salt Lake City.
When does Madison’s LOVB season start?
LOVB’s first season will span 13 weeks that begins in the middle of January through early April. Madison begins Friday, January 10 in Houston and their home opener is a week later against Salt Lake. Home games will take place at the Madison Field House or the Alliant Energy Center. The full schedule can be found here.

Playing alongside Sarah Franklin for LOVB – Madison, is former UW-Madison setter Lauren Carlini and former UW-Madison teammate Temi Thomas-Ailara. The team will be coached by Matt Fuerbringer, who is the father of Freshman UW-Madison setter Charlie Fuerbringer.
