The Wisconsin Badgers troubles recruiting offensive linemen have continued with another target committing elsewhere, but a future visit may help their chances of landing another 2024 recruit.
Ryan Cory, a 2024 three-star offensive lineman, is scheduled to visit the Badgers first before making his other official visits. Cory is also scheduled to visit Pittsburgh and then Vanderbilt following his trip to Madison, which makes his visit a pivotal recruiting opportunity for the Badgers staff. Currently, Pittsburgh has been in the lead for the recruit due to the playing time they can offer, but Wisconsin appears to still be in the mix.

The Wisconsin Badgers have been trying to land another offensive lineman for quite some time now. Most recently Marcus Harrison, who was expected to visit campus next month, committed to the Georgia Bulldogs shortly after finishing his official visit. Harrison was a big target for the Badgers, and his commitment came as a shock for the team. However, recruiting never stops and the Badgers have already shifted their focus on other recruits.

One such recruit is Ryan Cory, a 6-foot-4-inch, 290-pound offensive lineman from Pennsylvania. Cory is currently ranked as a three-star recruit and holds the 23rd spot in the state rankings. The lineman is also ranked as the 48th overall interior lineman in the 2024 football recruiting class. Cory holds 23 offers, including one from the Badgers and another from the Cincinnati Bearcats. Cory has been recruited by Luke Fickell in the past and now his main contact has been Jack Bicknell Jr.
The talented offensive lineman has been a player of interest for Fickell, who originally offered the recruit 14 months ago. Since then, Cory has received a handful of offers and also made quite a few visits. The lineman has visited Pittsburgh and Penn State three times each during his recruitment. Cory has also made a visit to Miami (FL) and one to Madison earlier this month. Pittsburgh and Penn State have recruited the prospect aggressively so far, but Cory seems to have a better relationship with the Wisconsin staff due to his official visit schedule.
Wisconsin Badgers Football Recruiting Profile: Ryan Cory
Cory is an explosive interior lineman with the power and speed to protect in the run especially. The lineman uses his size to move defensive linemen out of the way. Linebackers and defensive backers have little to no chance against Cory due to his stellar footwork and reaction time. The exceptional recruit has the speed and power to dominate at the collegiate level, especially in an aggressive offense like the new-look Wisconsin offense.
The interior lineman also has great field vision that allows him to find the man that needs to be blocked with ease. Cory pulls very well and bowls over defenders once he gets a head of steam. Opposing defenses have trouble trying to apply pressure up the middle against Cory and his support in the run game is immense. Wisconsin should begin to recruit Cory heavily due to his interest in the school and his potential scheme fit. With the right work, Cory could develop into a high-level collegiate lineman due to his natural abilities.
