While the excitement is justified, there is still a lot to do on the Wisconsin Badgers recruiting front. Luke Fickell and his staff have been hard at work trying to solidify the classes of 2024 and 2025. Even with the limited recruits that have committed the Badgers still have a top-25 class for 2024. They look to bolster that class with four-star cornerback Josh Philostin.

Wisconsin Badgers Recruiting: Josh Philostin
Philostin is a 5-foot-11, 160-pound cornerback out of West Palm Beach, Florida. He is a speedster that has also played some special teams as a returner in high school. While some will worry about his size, he makes up for it with his speed. He is a highly coveted prospect with 22 Division I offers currently including Penn State, Minnesota, Iowa, and Texas A&M. More offers are likely to come in, especially from SEC and ACC schools.

Bolstering Up The Defense
As of this moment, the Badgers have not had any defensive commits for the 2024 cycle. Four-star quarterback Mabrey Mettauer has already committed along with a couple of tight ends. While the offense is great, the Badgers are going to need a stout defense to stop the likes of Michigan and Ohio State plus any other non-conference teams they might meet. This isn’t a huge concern as it is still early in the cycle and the Badgers are making it onto a lot of final lists for recruits.
Luke Fickell is definitely casting a wide net. The amount of offers going out to recruits is astonishing. A year ago, Wisconsin was not even on a lot of prospects’ radars. Now, Madison is a destination that should see some top-25 classes for years to come.
