The Wisconsin Badgers recruiting efforts are looking to build for the future. There have been many offers being extended to the class of 2025. Luke Fickell and his staff are looking to build the relationships early and score some big-name recruits. The Badgers have extended an offer to Eli Owens, a versatile four-star athlete.

Wisconsin Badgers Recruiting: Eli Owens
Owens is a 6-foot-2, 226-pound recruit out of Alcoa, Tennessee. He is listed as an athlete as he has played both tight end and defensive end. It seems the Badgers are looking at him for the tight end position as new coach Nate Letton seems to be the one doing a lot of the recruiting. He currently has 13 Division I offers including Michigan, Michigan State, and Tennessee.

Athletes Are Always A Prize
Any time that a program can score an athlete, it is a good thing. It gives teams the opportunity to look at the landscape of their recruiting class and adjust accordingly. While it seems the Badgers want him as a tight end, if the class yields a bunch of tight ends, they could look to switch him to the defensive end position. It is such a powerful recruiting weapon and the Badgers can now get in the mix for recruits like this.
So far, the Badgers have not gotten any commitments from the class of 2025. This is not surprising as it is a far way away. However, the fact that the Badgers are making offers early is a good sign for them to score some high-level recruits for the class of 2025.
