The Wisconsin Badgers will kick off their football season in a month at home against the Buffalo Bulls. Like every season, there is a Preseason AP Top 25 ranking poll. Wisconsin fans are wondering where they will be ranked in the polls this upcoming college football season.
Brad Crawford of 247sports was projecting the AP Top 25 poll for the upcoming season, and he has the Wisconsin Badgers ranked at No. 18 to start the season. They will be one of four Big 10 Conference teams that will be ranked.
Wisconsin Badgers Projected No. 18 Rank In Preseason AP Poll
He has the Michigan Wolverines at No. 2, the Ohio State Buckeyes at No. 3, and the Penn State Nittany Lions at No. 8. The Wisconsin Badgers will have some work to do in Luke Fickell’s first season as head coach into get into the top 10 and potentially in the college football playoff conversation.

This is the reason why 247sports has the Wisconsin Badgers in this spot:
“Expect Wisconsin to fall somewhere in the Nos. 23-18 range. Not only did the Badgers reconfigure their offensive scheme with UNC’s Phil Longo as its play-caller, but they added SMU signal caller Tanner Mordecai to orchestrate the Air Raid and there is talented running back help to support. Judging by the Badgers’ schedule, Luke Fickell and company are a threat to the rest of the conference. The schedule is challenging which includes a showdown with Ohio State, but Wisconsin likes its chances to get to Indianapolis.”
Wisconsin Badgers To Revitalize Their Offense
In the past, the Wisconsin Badgers have been known as a ground-and-pound football team trying to set up play-action. Well, this modernized offense can very well help them out big-time contend in the Big Ten Conference. The other teams have lethal offensive weapons in the passing game. That is why Penn State, Michigan, and Ohio State have owned this BIg Ten Conference for the last decade.
It will be interesting to see where the Wisconsin Badgers get ranked when the AP Polls come out within the next couple of weeks for the upcoming college football season. The fans will have to deal with whatever ranking comes their way.
