Steven Crowl and Carter Gilmore hit huge threes in several games for the Wisconsin Badgers last and made life easier for their guards.
Fans might not miss their impact that much as new big man Austin Rapp believes he can bring in what they brought to the team.

Rapp is one of the four transferees to Wisconsin after the program got busy replacing the 10 players that departed the team. Gilmore and Crowl, along with fellow starters John Tonje and Max Klesmit are among them.
Gard’s offensive style is known for having big men who can hit it from beyond the arc. There’s no wonder he got someone like Rapp.
“They’ve had so many guys,” Rapp said in an interview with Badger Notes.
“They play stretch fours, stretch fives. That’s all they’ve played the last 10 years, and that’s what they look for. That suits their offense particularly—and I think I do a good job stretching the floor at 6-foot-10 and knocking down threes.

The 6-foot-10 forward, who last played for Portland Pilots, was .352 from the three point line last season out of 236 attempts.

Gard said back in in early April that he is excited to add Rapp to his roster.
“We’re excited to add Austin to the Badger family, Gard said in a press release.
“He’s a big-time shooter at the stretch-four position and will fit really well with how we play and who we are as a program.
He also praised him for being a skilled player, something his numbers would prove.

Rapp averaged 13.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game for the Pilots.
“He’s a highly-skilled big man and he showed that in winning Freshman of the Year in a good conference last season. We have a lot of mutual connections with Austin and all of our conversations centered on how well he fits Wisconsin and how well Wisconsin fits him.”
