Former Wisconsin Badgers running back Montee Ball had a tremendous collegiate career. He was the running back for the Badgers from 2009 to 2012.
After Ball was done with his college career, he went into the NFL and was selected by the Denver Broncos in the 2013 NFL Draft in the second round (58th overall pick). Montee Ball only played in the NFL for two seasons with Denver.
Former Wisconsin Badgers Running Back Montee Ball Reacts To Being Named To the College Football Hall Of Fame In the Class Of 2025
On Wednesday, it was announced that former Badgers running back Montee Ball was named to the college football Hall of Fame for the class of 2025. Ball responded on his Twitter to this massive news by saying:
“This is such an honor. Thank you so much to all of the voters, the committee, Badger fans, my family, my teammates , UW football, Thomas Hammock, and all that helped me along the journey. Thank you thank you thank you.”
This is such a big deal for him and his family. A lot of Badgers fans remember the success he had in college. In his college career, Ball played in 94 games and had 5,140 yards rushing on 924 carries and 77 touchdowns, along with averaging 5.6 yards per carry.
Ball also caught 59 passes for 598 yards receiving and six touchdowns, along with averaging 10.1 yards per reception. He helped the Badgers win back-to-back BIG10 Conference titles in 2011 and 2012. This could be another reason why he was selected to the College Football Hall of Fame and Wisconsin has not won the conference since.
