Some of the fun facts about Wahl during his tenure with the program are as follows as written on the uwbadgers.com website:
“Wahl has played a total of 155 games (ranks second in school history). He has played in 102 wins, fifth-most in school history. The Lakeville, Minnesota, native is just the sixth Badger in program history with 1,000+ points, 600+ rebounds and 200+ assists.”
In the last game Tyler Wahl played on Saturday at home against the #12 Illinois Fighting Illini, he scored 20 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and recorded two assists, despite the 91-83 loss. Wisconsin is 18-11 overall on the season and they are 10-8 in Big 10 Conference play. On February 1, the Badgers had a 16-4 record and have slumped since that moment.
The Badgers are currently the fifth seed in the conference. Head Coach Greg Gard hopes to give Wahl a victory on his senior day.
Also against Illinois on Saturday, Max Klesmit scored 16 points, grabbed five rebounds, and recorded three assists. Chucky Hepburn scored 15 points for the Badgers and AJ Storr also added 13 points for Wisconsin.
Players To Watch For On the Rutgers Scarlet Knights Against the Wisconsin Badgers
In the last matchup between these two basketball teams, Rutgers won that game on February 10, 78-56. They are looking to sweep the season series from Wisconsin and that would not be a good thing for the Badgers also. The Scarlet Knights have a 15-14 overall record and they are 12th in the Big 10 Conference with a 7-11 record this season.
Steve Pikiell is the head coach for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. In the last game they played on Sunday against the Nebraska Cornhuskers on the road, Rutgers lost that matchup by a final score of 67-56. The Scarlet Knights only had two players score in double digits in that matchup against Nebraska.
Jeremiah Williams scored 14 points, grabbed three rebounds, and recorded three assists. Gavin Griffiths also scored 10 points for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
Hopefully, the Wisconsin Badgers can take care of business at home on Thursday night against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Wisconsin has been good offensively as of late and as long as they can defend, they will find a way to win against Rutgers.
