The Wisconsin Badgers have a couple of great players that were looking to be drafted on day two of the NFL draft. The first Wisconsin Badger went off the board early in the second round. Offensive lineman Joe Tippmann was selected by the New York Jets.
New York Jets Select Wisconsin Badgers Joe Tippmann
The Jets needed some help on the offensive line and they got it. Wisconsin has long been a great factory of offensive linemen and that looks to continue with Tippmann. He showed out at his pro day and started skyrocketing up draft boards. While some had him sneaking into the first round, most had him early in the second. It was an excellent pick for the Jets that fills a need with a great player.

Where On The Line Will He Play?
The Jets just signed Connor McGovern right before the draft who was the center from last year. While Tippmann played center in Madison, the Jets could decide to move him to one of the guard spots. The number one goal of their offense is going to be to protect Aaron Rodgers. While the tackle position is still in question, the interior line is looking more set with the Tippmann selection.
The New York Jets got a good one in Joe Tippmann. I see no reason that he is not on the starting line protecting Aaron Rodgers in week one.
