The Wisconsin Badgers will begin their annual training camp on Wednesday to prepare for the upcoming collegiate football season. There will be a lot of questions to answer with this football team in a few week span before opening the season against the Buffalo Bulls at home on Sept. 2.
Wisconsin Badgers Football Training Camp Begins Wednesday
This will be the first season that Luke Fickell is the head coach of this football team. Wisconsin has not won the Big Ten title since the 2012 season and is looking to win it once again against some elite competition. They had a 7-6 overall record and a 4-5 Big Ten Conference record last year.
The Wisconsin Badgers have enough talent on the roster to be contenders in the Big Ten Conference this season, but time will tell what happens in training camp.
What are some things to watch for during training camp?
Expect Braelon Allen to Ball Out

Braelon Allen has been in the headlines for the Wisconsin Badgers during the course of the offseason. He is ready to turn heads in the backfield once again this season. Allen is one of those players that will be highlight reels waiting to happen during the regular season.
Wisconsin Badgers Transfer Offensive Lineman
Jake Renfro, was a transfer player from the Cincinnati Bearcats and knows head coach Luke Fickell’s offensive system. During the offseason, Renfro missed all of spring ball for the Wisconsin Badgers due to a stress fracture in his left foot. Jake Renfro is projected to be the starting center for the Badgers this fall and it forced assistant coach Jack Bicknell Jr. to look at several combinations for the offensive line.
CJ Geotz Breakout
C.J. Geotz is a graduate student who will be starting potentially at one of the outside linebacker spots this season on the Wisconsin Badgers defense. A season ago, he had 62 total tackles and also recorded two sacks.
Expect him to wrack up even more tackles for the Badgers’ defense this upcoming season. They will have some other spots to fill on the defense side of the football. Goetz is a player that will have to be elite for this defense this season for the Wisconsin Badgers.
