The Wisconsin Badgers football staff has stayed in close contact with one of their hidden gems in the 2024 recruiting class. NiTareon “Nitro” Tuggle is a 2024 three-star receiver who was offered a scholarship by the Badgers in February. Since being offered, the three-star recruit has emerged as a breakout candidate given his size and raw ability.
Wisconsin Badgers Football: Will Tuggle Land In Madison?
Coming in at six foot three and roughly 190 pounds, Tuggle has the physical tools to be a dominant receiver. The Indiana native has been a star for Northwood the last two seasons with 24 total touchdowns. Tuggle is slippery with or without the ball in his hands and regularly carves up defenses with quick moves. Tuggle is also a great route runner and has made strides in his development in that area in particular.
NiTareon Tuggle first arrived on the scene in 2021 when he recorded 625 receiving yards on 38 receptions for seven touchdowns. Tuggle has a natural advantage over most of his opponents given his size, but after refining his route running and cutting ability, 2022 proved to be more successful. Tuggle recorded 792 receiving yards on 40 receptions along with 15 receiving touchdowns.
Tuggle also added 185 yards on the ground along with two rushing touchdowns. Not only was the dynamic receiver able to find more touchdowns this past season, but he also created more yards for himself on nearly the same amount of receptions. Tuggle has an exceptional ability after the catch to gain extra yards and create something positive out of broken plays.

Following his 2021 campaign, Tuggle did not receive any major division one offers yet. The Wisconsin Badgers football staff jumped in last February to offer Tuggle after his amazing 2022 season. The Badgers were not alone, however, as Tuggle received all 29 of is offers following the completion of the 2022 season. Thus far, Tuggle has already attended an unofficial visit to Texas A&M and plans on visiting Georgia in June.

While an abundance of offers may have already come in for Nitro, this is only the first wave for the successful receiver. The 2024 recruit still has another season to get through which could be much better than his last. Tuggle has amazing physical tools but he has not filled out his frame just yet and could still add muscle. Along with this, his route running has developed significantly already but still needs improvement.
If NiTareon Tuggle can fill out his frame and become a sharper route runner, he could be an unstoppable receiver in college. His ability thus far to cut and lose his defenders has been incredible to watch and hopefully will only get better. With that being said, the Wisconsin Badgers football staff will be in quite the battle to try to land the 2024 recruit if he has another successful year next season.
