Wisconsin Badgers Football has been sending out a ton of offers the last couple of weeks, which means two recaps this week are necessary! This will be focused on offers and transfers, as there hasn’t been much news in terms of cut-down lists or commitments.
Wisconsin Badgers Football Transfers
Nyzier Fourqurean (CB)
Wisconsin Badgers football got an important commitment in the transfer portal from Division II All-American Nyzier Fourqurean. The Grand Valley State standout accumulated 27 pass breakups over the last two years and now gets a big opportunity with a program in need of experienced corners. The standout corner backed out of his commitment to Vanderbilt to become a Badger.
Wisconsin Badgers Football Recruiting Offers
Destin Mitchell (TE/DE)
Destin Mitchell is a defensive end out of Maryland. The 6’4, 240-pound freshman does play offense too but is mainly used on that side of the ball as a sixth offensive lineman, although he will leak out for some big catches. On the defensive side of things, Mitchell uses his hands well to keep distance between himself and the blocker. Mitchell uses this space to read and react to plays developing in front of him while also batting down passes well.
Raiden Vines-Bright (WR)
Raiden Vines-Bright is a 3-star receiver out of Arizona. The 6′, 185-pound playmaking sophomore is built for speed, and it shows up immediately on his tape. Vines-Bright has another gear that high school players can’t keep up with. While the rising prospect has some wiggle, his straight-line speed is the calling card, and he is also a good route runner. Wisconsin Badger football would be wise to make the Arizona product a priority target.
Daylen Sharper (ATH)
Daylen Sharper is the second-straight Arizona native we’ll look into. The 6’4, 190-pound freshman started on varsity out of the gates as a receiver and reportedly has strong hands, good strength, and ball skills. I wasn’t able to find a video on Sharper, but Arizona State and Oregon have already offered, so it’s a good thing Wisconsin Badger Football Recruiting got in early.
Cree Thomas (DB)
Cree Thomas is a 6’1, 170-pound cornerback out of Arizona. The sophomore already has an impressive offer list with Arizona, Arizona State, Notre Dame, and Oregon joining Wisconsin as big-name schools showing interest. Thomas looks extremely instinctual on film and is always around the ball. The defensive back is already a solid tackler and will get even better as he fills out physically. There is speed there, but he looks more like a technique-focused defensive back than one that relies on physical traits.
Elisha Durham (WR)
Elisha Durham is a sophomore receiver out of Michigan that Wisconsin Badgers Football Recruiting is hoping to get in on early. The young playmaker is a thin 6′, 150-pounds but makes up for it with smooth speed and good hands. Durham glides around the field on film while getting off the line well and being able to high-point the ball at a high level.
Kamren Flowers (WR)
Kamren Flowers is a 4-star receiver out of Michigan. The 6′, 170-pound sophomore plays both sides of the ball but looks more comfortable on offense. Flowers is listed as a receiver but doesn’t catch the ball much on film, as it looks like his high school team focused on running the ball. The Michigan native has good straight-line speed while showing the ability to fight through tackles. Flowers already has some big offers, including Miami, Penn State, and Michigan State.
Brian Robinson (EDGE)
The long overdue offer from Wisconsin Badgers football finally came for junior All-American Brian Robinson. The 6’5″, 255-pound 4-star pass rusher is the top-ranked edge rusher in Ohio and has some family connections in Wisconsin. The pass-rushing terror has 39 offers to date, and the tape makes it extremely obvious why. Robinson dominates with a combination of power, speed, and technique while having the game sense to know when to slow down and make the smart play. His tape is over nine minutes of him bullying opposing teams, and Michigan is currently the favorite for his services. His connection to the state could be huge.
Zeth Angel Thues (DB)
Wisconsin Badgers football continued the push in the southwest of the country with an offer to freshman Zeth Angel Thues out of Arizona. The 5’11, 170-pound defensive back currently has two offers with Arizona State joining Wisconsin. Angel Thues plays safety and looks the part on tape. He plays a physical brand of football while also having good ball skills. The defensive playmaker reads and reacts well to routes and has the physical tools to close quickly.
Deylen Platt (ATH)
The push in Florida continues as Deylen Platt received an offer this week. The 6’3, 175-pound junior is listed as an athlete but plays in the secondary mainly. On tape, Platt shows good instincts and speed in coverage while being willing to make tackles. He doesn’t appear to be overly physical but gets the job done. Wisconsin Badgers football is his sixth offer, with Ole Miss and Oregon State also being involved.
Garrett Martin (EDGE)
Wisconsin Badgers football has switched gears in Arizona with their next offer. Garrett Martin is a pass rusher with the first couple being wide receiver/cornerback combos. The sophomore stands at 6’4 and weighs 240 pounds. Wisconsin is Martin’s fifth offer, joining other big names in Oregon and TCU. The film on the rising playmaker shows a player with good speed, power, and agility. He often lines up wide to give himself ample space to work around the tackle.
Tariq Hayer (CB/WR)
Tariq Hayer is a 6’1, 185-pound defensive back out of Washington, DC. The 4-star player was a Max Prep All-American and a track and field sprinter. On the football field, the sophomore does it all. He lines up at corner and safety while making plays at both spots. Hayer has more than enough speed to shadow receivers downfield, read and react in zone coverage, and close quickly for a big hit. Wisconsin was Hayer’s 15th offer, but some big names are already on the list.
Kevyn Humes (CB)
Kevyn Humes is a 4-star cornerback out of Maryland. The sophomore stands at 5’11 and weighs in at 185 pounds. The ESPN 300 prospect already has 24 offers and has been very busy on visits. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been to Madison yet, but hopefully can make the trip soon. Humes sticks to receivers with great technique and a fast, smooth hip turn on tape. There are also no concerns with his physicality, as he is a good tackler and easily sheds receiver blocks.
Quincy Porter (WR)
Quincy Porter is a 6’4, 200-pound New Jersey native with offers pouring in. The 4-star receiver looks silky smooth while running routes and has deceptive speed. The All-American has good hands and uses his size well while also getting out of his breaks extremely well for a receiver of his size. So far, Porter has taken visits to Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, and Rutgers.
Jalen Todd (CB)
Jalen Todd is a 4-star cornerback out of Michigan. The 6’1, 180-pound junior has 32 offers, with Iowa currently sitting as the favorite. The rangy defensive back has the athleticism to read and react to throws and the ball skills to pick the ball off. Todd’s length causes a lot of incompletions, and he can be physical when needed. The top-ranked corner in Michigan has great instincts, and they show on the field.
Adrian Santana Wilson (DB)
Adrian Santana Wilson hits the Arizona and defensive back metrics again as Wisconsin Badgers Football has a position and location of focus. The 6’1, 180-pound junior plays all over the field, but his size makes him a better fit for the secondary at the next level. The 4-star has a ton of speed and it shows up on film immediately. Wilson has good ball skills and has no problem covering downfield while also showing a high-level ability to be physical at the line of scrimmage. So far he has no visits on record but would be a great addition to the Badgers.
Carleton Preston (WR/FS)
Carleton Preston is a 6′, 160-pound athlete out of Maryland. The sophomore already has 12 offers and will likely bring in many more as his projectable frame fills out. Preston does a lot of everything for his high school team, with highlights showing his return skills, his playmaking ability on offense, and his ability to be a difference-maker on defense. It’ll be interesting to see which positions he focuses on heading into his junior season.
