Wisconsin Badgers Football Recruiting has been busy as we enter May, and plenty of offers are sent out to catch fans up! I’ll update any recent commits, players Wisconsin has made cut-down lists for, offers, visits, and any potential College Football transfer portal news.

    Wisconsin Badgers Football Recruiting: Commitments

    Kahmir Prescott (3-Star Safety)

Wisconsin Badgers Football Recruiting got a commitment from Pennsylvania native Kahmir Prescott last week. The 3-star safety chose Wisconsin over Michigan State, Nebraska, Pitt, and Penn State. The 6’1″, 180 athlete has impressive film as he shines on both sides of the ball. Khamir Prescott has track speed on offense but seems more comfortable in the secondary. He has solid ball skills and does a great job of reading and reacting to what the quarterback is doing.

    Wisconsin Badgers Football Recruiting: Offers

    Emerson Mandell (4-Star Offensive Line)

Emerson Mandell is a 6’4″, 290-pound offensive lineman out of Minnesota. His tape shows an athletic and powerful blocker that drives defenders downfield and never fails to finish a block. He plays guard in high school, and it’s easy to see why. He has the strength to handle the large defensive lineman and the mobility to work well in space.

    Joe Barna (3-Star EDGE)

Joe Barna is a 6’4″, 250-pound pass rusher out of Illinois. The 3-star player only has a handful of major offers, but that likely won’t last for long. His film shows a defender with great size, strength, and speed. He uses his hands well to shed blocks. He doesn’t need to use moves often, as he either overpowers his way into the backfield or uses his impressive first step to blow past tackles. Barna looks like the kind of player that could add 10-20 pounds to stay at defensive end without losing much speed.

    Raphael Dunn (3-Star Safety)

Wisconsin Badgers Football Recruiting recently offered Raphae Dunnl, a 6’5″, 205-pound defensive back out of New Jersey. His tape shows a player with unexpected agility and good speed to pair with his great length. For a player of his size, he is extremely fluid in space. He uses his physical tools to read and react extremely well but also shows the ability to cover. He’s the kind of player Wisconsin has built its program on, a late riser that gets overlooked but Wisconsin got in with early. Dunn seems to be focusing on Illinois, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, and Wisconsin.

    Kian Payne (Unranked Defensive Lineman)

Kian Payne is a 6’4″, 260-pound defensive lineman out of Kansas. He may not be ranked currently, but his tape shows plenty of potential. He uses his hands extremely well to create space and allow his underrated speed to get him to the quarterback. Payne eats blocks well while also having the athleticism and agility to beat blockers with quick moves in small spaces. He has visited with Wisconsin Badgers Football Recruiting twice, and the school is high on his list.

    Wisconsin Badgers Football Recruiting: Visits

    Rufus Ferguson II (Linebacker)

Rufus Ferguson II is a 6′, 210-pound linebacker out of Florida. He is currently an unranked prospect, but he did wrack up 102 tackles as a junior, with 19 of them for loss. His film shows a player with good speed that does a good job of working in space and finding the ball. He’s a sure tackler and uses his speed to live in the backfield. He may be a bit undersized, but he has a good frame. It will be interesting to see if he gets an offer. His grandfather played for Wisconsin in the ’70s and was nicknamed “The Roadrunner.”

Charlton & Mercer Luniewski (Offensive Linemen)

This twin duo was in Madison last week to check out spring practice. The brothers from Ohio both play offensive line and have incredible size. Charlton Luniewski checks in at 6’5″, 290 pounds, as his brother Mercer Luniewski stands at 6’7″ and weighs in at 310 pounds. Charlton appears to have the better mobility out of the two, while Mercer shows more strength in his game.

    Eddie Tuerk (4-Star DL/OL)

Eddie Tuerk was on campus that week as the 6’4″, 280-pound recruit had a short trip from Illinois. He, unfortunately, doesn’t have any tape from his junior season, but what I saw from last season was impressive. He’s listed as an offensive and defensive lineman, and it’ll be interesting to see which direction he leans. Tuerk looks comfortable on the defensive side of the line as he holds up well at the point of attack, sheds blocks with ease, and powers his way into the backfield.

    Hank Weber (3-Star Defensive End)

Hank Weber is a 6’4″, 260-pound defensive end out of Tennessee. He was in Madison early last week and is a big target for Wisconsin Badgers Football Recruiting. He has a long and impressive offer list, with Wisconsin, Vanderbilt, and North Carolina currently looking like the favorites. He’s been in Madison twice so far, with two official visits at the other two favorites. His film is fun to watch as he uses a combination of strength, short-area quickness, and unexpected closing speed to cause issues for the offense. He’s extremely agile for his size and appears to have a good feel for various pass-rushing moves.

Keshaun Parker (Quarterback Class of 2024)

Keshaun Parker is an unranked quarterback prospect out of Illinois that was on campus a little over a week ago. The 6-foot, 150-pound recruit has a lively arm and very good athleticism. His film shows a quarterback that could use some molding, but the tools are there.

    College Football Transfer Portal News

    Antonio Carter (Defensive Back)

Antonio Carter is a transfer cornerback from Rhode Island. He was offered by Wisconsin on April 19 and was in Madison to visit last week. He’s a physical corner that isn’t afraid to make a tackle and always seems to be around the ball. He had 60 tackles last season to go along with a pick, 11 passes defended and two forced fumbles. He played corner and safety in three years at Rhode Island but would be competing for a corner spot at Wisconsin. He has two years of eligibility remaining.
