The Wisconsin Badgers hosted Georgia Southern in what turned out to be a win for Badgers football 35-14. It didn’t appear that way in the first half, but the Badgers stormed back to win it with a big 3rd quarter. At the helm, Head Coach Luke Fickell has made a new tradition for the team, naming his players of the week for offense, defense, and special teams.

The Offense for the Wisconsin Badgers
On offense, Badgers football was able to put up 35 points, 28 of which came in the second half. According to Fickell, Braelon Allen led the charge for the Badgers with his 2 touchdowns. He had 12 carries, putting up 94 yards on the Eagles defense. His two touchdowns were locked in for the 21-point 3rd quarter that the Wisconsin Badgers needed to recharge and put them in front for good.
The Defense for Badgers Football
It’s hard to argue when a player takes home the Big Ten Player of the Week honors. Hunter Wohler had a stellar game for the Badgers, helping to hold the Eagles down to just 14 points. He had 10 tackles, a sack, and, notably, two interceptions that helped stop Georgia Southern in the red zone.

Special Teams
Preston Zachman was thrust into action for the Badgers, with Senior Kamo’i Latu having extended struggles this season. While he didn’t put up a stellar stat line as a safety, he was able to break up a couple of key plays for the Wisconsin Badgers.
