The Wisconsin Badgers have dropped yet another game. For a while, there was a thought that they had maybe turned it around after winning at Ohio State on Thursday. Unfortunately, the Badgers could keep their winning ways going, losing at home to Northwestern on Sunday afternoon. The loss also meant that Wisconsin has been swept by Northwestern for the first time since 1995-96. What is most frustrating is that the Badgers lost both games by a combined five points. Wisconsin lost on January 23 66-63 and again on Sunday 54-52. In both instances, the Badgers had won their previous game before losing to Northwestern. Not surprisingly, Badgers fans were very critical of the team on social media.
Wisconsin Badgers Fans React to Latest Loss
The Wisconsin Badgers are now 13-9 overall and just 5-7 in Big Ten Conference play. With just eight games left in the season, including a late-season matchup with top-ranked Purdue, the outlook is bleak for the current Badgers team. After the loss, their fans took to social media to react to the loss:
“Wisconsin has to do better than Chucky Hepburn taking a contested mid-range jumper at the end of a shot clock. Period.”

“Northwestern took away Wahl and Crowl (11-pts on 10-shots) … daring Wisconsin to win with Guards. Only Essegian answered. This team is terribly challenged on offense—that has been unchanged. NCAA tournament is highly unlikely”

“Wisconsin has a fever—and the only prescription—appears to be dribbling around for 29 seconds and hucking up a questionable jumper at the end of the shot clock. #Badgers”

“Wisconsin lost because 1) They couldn’t finish(7/15 on layups) 2) couldn’t shoot free throws(5/11) 3) couldn’t make shots late in the game. They didn’t lose because of the referees.”
