The Wisconsin Badgers are preparing for their big-time matchup this weekend with the #4 Alabama Crimson Tide. Kickoff for this game will be at 11 a.m. CT on FOX at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin.
Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer understands the importance of not letting a young team get intimidated on the road. Wisconsin is one of the toughest places to play in all of college football.
#4 Alabama Crimson Tide Head Coach Kalen DeBoer Talks About How Playing On the Road Against the Wisconsin Badgers Is a Tough Challenge
One of the hardest things to do in all of college football is winning games on the road. For Alabama not to slip up against Wisconsin and keep themselves high in the AP Polls, they need to find a way to get a win in Madison, Wisconsin.
Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer spoke to badgerswire.com writer Ben Kenney about heading up north for this game after having their first two games at home. DeBoer said:
“There’s nothing like playing at home here at Bryant-Denny, but I think there is something to knowing you’re going into a great environment. These guys really probably haven’t been there — maybe a couple guys from the Midwest that have seen that or been on a visit maybe at one point. It’s going to be a great atmosphere up there. And I think it’s one that when you’re preparing to go play those games, and we’ll of course have that many times here with the SEC schedule too, that hostile environment, taking it on and just kind of knowing that it’s you versus everyone there. I think our guys are looking forward to the challenge and looking forward to improving on this last week and knowing we’re going to have to in order to get a win against Wisconsin on Saturday.”
On paper, the Alabama Crimson Tide has a much better roster than the Wisconsin Badgers. Alabama is favored by -15.5 points on the road over Wisconsin. This is a game that could get ugly for the Badgers against the Crimson Tide.
Will Meet Again In 2025
The Wisconsin Badgers and the Alabama Crimson Tide will meet again in 2025 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. When head coach Luke Fickell took the Wisconsin job last season, he knew that the Badgers were going to have a home-and-home series with the Crimson Tide.
If the Wisconsin Badgers were to upset the Alabama Crimson Tide in this game, it would be a big win for Wisconsin. However, Kalen DeBoer and Alabama know anything could happen because they almost lost to the USF Bulls at home last week until they pulled away in the fourth quarter. Both teams are 2-0 entering this game.
