The Wisconsin Badgers are 5-4 this season in college football and this is the second year Luke Fickell is the head coach of this football team. One of the biggest issues with the Badgers this season has been the quarterback play.
At some point, they are going to need to find a quarterback for the long term. One name that has come up to potentially commit to the Wisconsin Badgers is quarterback Carter Smith.
Recent Michigan Wolverines De-commit Carter Smith Will Visit the Wisconsin Badgers Against the Oregon Ducks
Four-star recruit Carter Smith de-committed from the Michigan Wolverines last week. With this news, there are some teams that Smith is interested in joining. Three of the teams that he is potentially looking at are the Wisconsin Badgers, the Penn State Nittany Lions, and the Clemson Tigers.
On Friday, it was reported by on3sports.com writer Steve Wiltfong that Smith will take an official visit to Wisconsin on Saturday, November 16 when the Badgers will face the #1 Oregon Ducks. Smith is a four-star recruit.

I quit getting my hopes up even if he commits to the Badgers. Hype is overrated!

Would Smith want to stay in the BIG10 conference and stick it to the Michigan Wolverines? He had no intentions of leaving, but plans changed for him. One of the reasons why he is back on the market is because of potential reports of #1 recruit quarterback Bryce Underwood maybe switching from the LSU Tigers to the Michigan Wolverines.
Carter Smith being available is a golden opportunity for the Wisconsin Badgers to land a quarterback on its roster for 2025. If the Badgers let this one slip away, it will not be good for them in the long term.
