The Wisconsin Badgers basketball staff has made an excellent offer during their basketball recruiting spree. 2025 five-star recruit and top ten prospect Jalen Haralson has received a scholarship to play for the Badgers.
Haralson is the top combo guard and highest ranked recruit in the state of Indiana in the 2025 basketball recruiting class. Haralson averaged 16 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game as a Freshman during the 2021-22 season. This past season as a Sophomore, Haralson averaged 23.4 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game, while also adding 1.1 steals per game.
Wisconsin Badgers Basketball Offer Exciting Five-Star Jalen Haralson
The Wisconsin Badgers basketball staff had been closely recruiting Haralson following his exceptional growth on the court this past season. The dynamic combo guard is an athletic finisher who does not shy away from contact when heading towards the rim. Haralson attacks the defense and consistently finds ways to finish over or around his defenders.
Coming in at 6-foot-7-inches, 210-pounds, the guard has an array of moves on offense that allow him to score effortlessly at the rim. Haralson is guaranteed to throw down a dunk every game, but also has a great ability to shoot from outside. Haralson has excellent court vision and gets into the corner often to take those outside shots, but otherwise will look to attack the basket. The talented guard can also draw fouls when needed and has shot 69% from the line across his first two seasons.
Clearly, it is hard to find many things that a five-star recruit still needs to work on. For Haralson, this past season his two weaknesses have been his free throw shooting and turnovers. The talented guard averaged 3.5 turnovers per game this past year, while also shooting 70% from the line. Haralson improved this past season from his 67% shooting from the line as a Freshman, which is a great sign of improvement. Haralson has developed his game in a short period of time already, which means the next two seasons could reveal the best version of the combo guard.
Can The Wisconsin Badgers Land Jalen Haralson?
Currently, Haralson has 12 Division I offers with the Wisconsin Badgers being his most recent offer. Haralson also holds offers to the following programs, with Michigan State leading the way in his recruiting thus far.
- Auburn
- Florida State
- Indiana
- Iowa
- IUPUI
- Maryland
- Michigan
- Michigan State
- Missouri
- Ohio State
- Purdue
- Wisconsin
- Duke
As a Sophomore, Haralson already has an impressive list of offers in front of him, and the list will only grow in the future. The talented recruit has already made two visits to Michigan State and is expected to make another in the next few months. Haralson has developed an excellent relationship with the Spartans staff thus far, which might be an issue for the Wisconsin Badgers going forward.
Wisconsin is the latest team to join in on the recruitment of the exceptional five-star guard. The Badgers will have plenty of work ahead of them if they hope to land the recruit given his success already. However, coach Greg Gard and his staff will not shy away from the challenge and hope to land the talented recruit in the future.
