Wisconsin Badgers basketball was said to be in the final five teams for Senior Kon Kneuppel out of Milwaukee. A few days ago, he had finished his official visits and was deciding on which school to commit to. It was down to Marquette, Wisconsin, Duke, Alabama, and Virginia. The small forward ended up committing to the Duke Blue Devils, which he announced via social media.

What Wisconsin Badgers Basketball Misses Out On
Kon Kneuppel was eyed as one of the top recruits in the nation. ESPN had him ranked No. 22 overall and was considered the No. 5 shooting guard in the 2024 class. 247Sports has Kneuppel listed 19th nationally and 7th among forwards, being the No. 1 ranked in Wisconsin as well.
Kon Kneuppel brings a ton of upside to the Blue Devils with his average of 19.7 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists as a junior. Kon Kneuppel was also able to lead Nike’s EYBL league in scoring at 22.5 points per game, which led to his star rising up the ranks.
He joins a recruitment class at Duke of Isaiah Evans, ranked No. 8 by ESPN, and No. 45 Darren Harris. The Wisconsin Badgers lost out on both of their top forward options after Jackson McAndrew committed to Creighton.
Wisconsin Badgers basketball has secured two commitments out of the 2024 class, four-star Guard Daniel Freitag, and three-star forward Jack Robison.
