The Wisconsin Badgers are 3-0 on the basketball season and they will be put to the test big time on Friday night against the #9 Arizona Wildcats. Arizona is also 2-0 this season. This game will tip off at 9 p.m. CT and it will be streamed on Peacock.
These two teams played each other a season ago in Arizona. The Wildcats won that matchup last season. Wisconsin might be overmatched against a talented Arizona team in this game.
Players To Watch For On the Wisconsin Badgers Against the Arizona Wildcats
Head coach Greg Gard’s team will need to make this game competitive, and they can’t afford to get blown out. In the last game against Appalachian State, five players scored in double figures. Steven Crowl and John Tonje each scored 17 points. Max Klesmit added 15 points. Xavier Amos scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds, and Nolan Winter also scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
The Badgers have had balanced scoring so far this season. Wisconsin will need to do that against Arizona to have a chance to pull off an upset.
Players To Watch For On the Wildcats
Tommy Lloyd is the head coach of this basketball team. They last played against the Old Dominion Monarchs. Arizona also had five players who scored in double figures in the last game as well. Tobe Awaka scored 18 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for the Arizona Wildcats.
Caleb Love scored 10 points, grabbed three rebounds, and recorded one assist. Henri Veesaar also scored 10 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and recorded three assists for the Arizona Wildcats in the last game. Carter Bryant scored 12 points and Anthony Dell’Osro also added 11 points for Arizona.
Arizona is a deeper basketball team than Wisconsin is. Whenever the Badgers face the Wildcats, Wisconsin’s fans always remember the good times when they beat Arizona in the Elite 8 during the 2014 NCAA Tournament. They are hoping for an upset win on Friday night, but the Wildcats are going to find a way to win the game.
