Wisconsin Badgers basketball team’s newest recruit Braeden Carrington may only be 6’4 but he thinks he can be a board crasher just like how Steven Crowl was for the team in the last few seasons.

Carrington is the latest recruit by the Badgers through the transfer portal. He last played for the Tulsa Golden Hurricane where he recorded 7.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game in at least 26 minutes.
The Badgers are known for their scavenger-type of players last season, most notably Max Klesmit and Carter Gilmore.
He may not be a legit big man but for Carrington he can do what those frontcourt players can do as he already trained himself to become the guy that does the dirty work.
“My defensive intensity and how much I have the passion to win, that’s the big thing I talked to with a lot of schools, but especially Wisconsin,” he said.

“With guys like Max Klesmit and Steven Crowl gone, they just needed a presence to go out there and do the dirty stuff. They have great players returning, but they wanted another guy to help, be an older presence, and just be physical and gritty.”
Wisconsin Badgers’ projected starting five
Carrington’s energy and dedication to hustle will be huge for head coach Greg Gard.
He is expected to come off the bench unlike the three earlier transfer portal recruits.
Badgers’ projected starting five includes John Blackwell and Nick Boyd at the guard position. Transferees Andrew Rohde (from Virginia) and Austin Rapp (from Portland Pilots) will be no. 3 and n. 4, respectively. Mainstay Nolan Winter will be the starting center.

Team is just stacked right now.
Aside from Carrington, the team added Aleksas Bieliauskas from Lithuania as a freshman.
Other players are sophomores Riccardo Greppi, Jack Janicki and Jack Robison. Freshmen are Hayden Jones, Zach Kinziger, and Will Garlock.
