When Luke Fickell came to Wisconsin, he vowed that he would recruit the state. In his introductory press conference, he spoke about the importance of recruiting in the state. Fickell is keeping that promise. The Wisconsin Badgers are the first to extend an offer to a class of 2025 tight end out of Green Bay.

Wisconsin Badgers Extend Offer To 2025 Tight End James Flanigan
Flanigan attended Saturday’s junior day in Madison. Apparently, Fickell and his staff saw all they needed to. Flanigan was extended an offer. It isn’t hard to see why. Flanigan is 6’5″ and 220 pounds out of Notre Dame De La Bale Academy in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He looks to be highly athletic and would be another middle-of-the-field threat for the Badgers’ offense. Wisconsin wanted to make sure that Flanigan knew how they felt about him and offered him a scholarship immediately.
How High Can The Badgers Climb?
Most of the focus has been on how Luke Fickell is going to improve the team for the upcoming season. However, it is stories like this that show how Fickell is setting up the team for the long term. Wisconsin might have some insane recruiting classes in the coming years. They are already offering 5-star prospects scholarships something that would have been unheard of a year ago. The Wisconsin Badgers may start to climb some recruiting rankings if they keep this up.
It was great to see Wisconsin be the first to offer. It is one thing to say you will recruit the state and another to actually do it. Fickell is keeping to his word and trying to keep as much talent in state as possible.

Yes most definitely it is time to PANIC.. BIG TIME! If this is the best Greg Gard & his staff can do as far as both scheme & recruiting, perhaps there in lies the problem. I don’t claim to understand all that goes into these issues but we seem to be seriously lacking in athleticism & just being able to shoot the ball & SCORE. Seems when things break down, rarely can anyone “create” any type of offense. Way too much standing around & looking puzzled & lost. I’m in no way saying the guys don’t try & work hard & yes there’s been a few really nice wins earlier in the yr but they’ve hit a BIG TIME WALL & are VERY HARD to watch at times. Perhaps the ENTIRE TEAM & COACHING STAFF needs to look at themselves in the mirror?? Cuz things are looking REALLY BAD of late ! Perhaps there needs to be a major shakeup similar to Badger Football ??
