There’s no stopping Wisconsin Badgers basketball from creating a formidable team for future seasons. They recently got commitment from Jackson Ball who gets comparison to Luka Doncic.

They might soon have not just one but two players who were raised like Nikola Jokic.
Badger Recruiting on X reported that the team have expressed interest on a Serbian duo who both once played for the Jokic’s ball club KK Mega Basket.
They are both being eyed to play for the 2025 team which won’t have 11 players from the season before after graduating.

Two intriguing Serbian names to keep an eye on.
6’3 PG Mihailo Petrovic – 23 years old
– Averaging 12.8 points and 9.6 assists over last five games.
6’8 F Filip Jovic – 20 years old
– Scored 16 points and 7 rebounds against NBA G League United— Wisconsin Recruiting (@BuckyRecruiting) April 8, 2025
Petrovic could be Wisconsin’s Milo Teodosic as he is known back home for his playing and ability to control the game in his own tempo.
The 6’8 Jovic, meanwhile, brags face-up scoring ability and great athleticism for his his size.
Wisconsin Badgers’ chances of signing them
Both players are optimistic about their chances of playing under Greg Gard.
Petrovic, speaking on behalf of Jovic, too, said he is very hopeful the plan will come into fruition.
“The plan is for me to come to the University of Wisconsin,” Petrovic said according to Badger Notes’ Dillon Graff.
“Right now I don’t have any sure information, but I think and hope that I will become a part of the Badgers family.”
However, the commitment is facing an obstacle. Graff said they still haven’t acquired visa clearance that is why they commitment is yet to become official.
He wrote:
This isn’t a matter of whether or not there’s mutual interest—it’s about working through the red tape. And while timelines are still up in the air, the sense is that if the visa situation gets cleared, Wisconsin will be ready to welcome both players into the basketball program with open arms.
